St. Nicholas, Lillingstone Dayrell

St Nicolas church stands to the east  of the A413, in the approximate  centre of a very small  and scattered community  of Lillingstone Dayrell. It is signed from the  A413 and is approached down a tarmac lane that leads also to a couple of cottage and some old farm barns.

The Church  dates in part from the eleventh century  with additions in the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth  centuries.  A most useful illustrated  and descriptive booklet  " the Church in the Fields " is available for sale in the Church. HOlympic Communion  serviceso are held at 11 am on the first and third Sunday of each month and the Church is also available for Baptisms, Weddings  and Funerals. Burials are in the attractive and peaceful churchyard
